The New Moon on the 11th March swayed the tide as the Moon joined a convergence of all the personal planets together with Neptune in the most fluid of signs, Pisces. This recent period of early spring has been imbued with this quality of fluidity and reflection, and as such has been a time for imagination and gestation, cleansing and letting go. This time aligns with the end of the annual cleansing tide which runs from the Winter Solstice to the Spring Equinox. This is a season for releasing and pruning away the vestiges of the old year and brings the opportunity for old matters to be closed, released and washed away in the waning period preceding this dark moon. With such a great convoy of planets passing through this sign this has been an especially potent time for release. This letting go then creates space for new growth to arise which comes in with the Spring Equinox tide. New possibilities which may have been seeded at an earlier time and gestated and nourished in our inner imaginal world may now burst into life. Indeed the day after the New Moon, Mars moved into Aries heralding the new impetus and drive to take action and bring into being. With the Sun arriving into Aries at the Spring Equinox and followed swiftly on his heels by Venus, this new planetary focus on action and creation now arises and aligns with Uranus, already active in Aries, who is the high powered arbiter of revolution and change. This interplay of contrasting forces has been noticeable at a collective level in current times - Uranus driving revolution both in the Arab World and throughout global economic systems and Neptune as an instrument of the compassionate voice - reflecting and working behind the scenes, tempering reform and calling for humanitarian support. Now with this processional planetary arrival into Aries, we might expect change to have the upper hand as a time of reflection is passing and a move into new action arises and leads us up towards the next square aspect in the sky between Uranus Pluto in May with its potential for further shock waves of change.
